Colonial Kitchen Goes Modern

As a member of Hunt Woods Design, we worked with a local contractor to take the kitchen and dining room down to the studs. These rooms made up half of the first floor of a post war colonial home. Walls and doors moved and windows were enlarged to create this light, bright and airy kitchen. The owners wanted to be able to talk with their guests while preparing meals and as part of entertaining. The counter extends to an eat up area, and the vertical surfaces are hard working laminates.

Compliments from our Clients

“I’ve worked with Fran Alexander Interior Design on several projects, from simply selecting paint colors, to designing a tile backsplash, to designing a reconfiguration of an entire third floor into a master suite. She is always easy to work with, detail-oriented, and wants her clients to get results that they will love for a long time”
